In honor of National Suicide Prevention Month, Johnson Behavioral Health Group is committed to conducting a FREE Depression Screening for Suicide Loss Survivors. These survivors are family members or loved ones of suicide victims.
After experiencing the traumatic experience of suicide, those left behind are more vulnerable to mental distress as they cope with grief, trauma, and sorrow. This free program aims to support bereaved families and help them find the resources they need to recover from the pain of losing a loved one to suicide.
These people may go through a challenging phase of the grieving process. The societal stigma associated with mental disorders and suicide can worsen this experience for survivors of suicide loss. It becomes more difficult to speak up, to break the silence.
Thus, providing quality support, resources, and safe space at the scene of a suicide and delivering access to behavioral health services are all possible ways Johnson Behavioral Health Group can concoct to help this population.
This is an invitation to those interested in the Free Depression Screening for Survivors of Suicide Loss. If you are interested or know someone who may need this no-cost service conducted by Johnson Behavioral Health Group, kindly observe the following guidelines:
